Director's Finder Viewer for Mitchell 16mm Movie Camera
This is a Rare Viewfinder for a Mitchell Camera - made by Maier-Hancock - the Hot Splicer People. It attaches to the side of the camera with the round lens facing forward, and the rectangular lens facing the Operator. It's unusual - Rare - and Classic. There is an internal prism system on the inside - and frosted glass on the viewing surface.
I don't know what camera this comes from for sure, but it's supposed to be for a MITCHELL 16MM.
9 1/4" long 3 1/4" wide respectively.
Has frosted glass inside, some haze, front inside has a smeary look. You can still see though it. There are cross lines inside (+).
Please inspect images and decide for yourself if it fits your camera.
